Photography at PowellsWood

We enjoy watching new and experienced photographers blossom in our garden. But first, please focus on our photography and videography policy. 

AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY

• We welcome amateur nature photography and videography that refrains from all prohibited activities outlined below on this page.

PROFESSIONAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

• A Photo Session Package ($250) is required for all professional portrait photography and videography, including:

  • Engagement

  • Wedding

  • Quinceañera

  • Family

  • Maternity

  • Portfolio

  • Prom

  • Graduation

  • Senior pictures

  • And any other posed portraiture

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Commercial photography is any photograph or video intended to be sold as stock or used in advertising, films, or promotion of a business.

  • Commercial photography is approved and priced on a case-by-case basis.

  • PowellsWood may request previews of the work to be used, and reserves the right to deny permission for commercial photography.

  • The PowellsWood name and logo may not be used by outside parties without permission.

All Photographers and Their Parties Must Refrain from the Following:

● Photography or attire that is adult in nature and/or could be considered inappropriate or offensive

● Blocking garden stairs and pathways

● Walking in planted areas, picking plants or flowers

● Items that are disruptive to the guest experience or could pose a safety concern, including, but not limited to: drones, remote airplanes, balls, frisbees, kites, or other sports equipment, bicycles and other recreational devices

● Weddings, receptions, or other gatherings that have not received prior approval

● Photo props, signs, balloons, glitter, confetti, flower petals, etc.

● Wardrobe changes, hair stylilng and makeup application=

● Alcohol, smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping, and any illegal substance

● Feeding wildlife

● Running or jogging in the gardens

● Climbing trees

● Cursing or yelling in the gardens

● Service animals only. No pets.

PLEASE NOTE:

Official PowellsWood photographers or staff may take pictures or videos during your visit for use in our educational and promotional materials, including our website and social media. Admission to PowellsWood serves as permission for your image to be used for these purposes.

If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify a staff member and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
