Photography at PowellsWood

At PowellsWood, we enjoy watching new and experienced photographers blossom in our garden. But first, please take a moment to focus on our photography guidelines.

• Amateur nature photography and videography is welcome and encouraged!

• Posed, formal, professional, and commercial photography and videography must be scheduled in advance and is subject to a $25 fee. This fee is in addition to admission for each guest over age 13, including the photographer(s), and may be purchased at the time of admission.

• For commercial photography, PowellsWood may request previews of the work to be used, and reserves the right to deny permission for commercial photography.

• Photography must not disrupt the experience of other guests. PowellsWood retains the right to halt any activity that is unauthorized or that is deemed to be disruptive or offensive.

All Photographers and Their Parties Must Refrain from the Following:

● Photography or attire that is adult in nature and/or could be considered inappropriate or offensive

● Blocking garden stairs and pathways

● Walking in planted areas, picking plants or flowers

● Items that are disruptive to the guest experience or could pose a safety concern, including, but not limited to: drones, remote airplanes, balls, frisbees, kites, or other sports equipment, bicycles and other recreational devices

● Weddings, receptions, or other gatherings that have not received prior approval

● Alcohol, smoking, e-cigarettes, vaping, and any illegal substance

● Feeding wildlife

● Running or jogging in the gardens

● Climbing trees

● Cursing or yelling in the gardens
